As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, the most widely recognized and respected rating in the world; you have the freedom
to dive with a buddy independent of a professional anywhere in the world. If you have already tried the PADI Discover
Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified we can accredit your experience towards the open water
certification (subject to terms and assessment).
Do you need any special requirements?
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver
certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver
programme available.
What will you do during the PADI Open Water Diver Course?
After studying the PADI Open Water manual, you will take part in theory sessions with your instructor to watch DVD
presentations, quizzes and knowledge reviews to learn the basic theory behind diving. You will take part in confined
water training in a swimming pool to learn skills required for safe diving and feel comfortable with the equipment.
You will apply what you have learned in the theory and confined water sessions and complete a total of four (4) open
water ocean dives to a maximum depth of 18 meters. (12m for juniors) The course is run over four days.
What is included within the Course?
The course price includes equipment hire and 2 days boat trips (with
transfers/breakfast/lunch/water). Student course materials as the
PADI Open Water Manual and Certification is included.
Where can you go after completing this programme?
After completing this course you are qualified to dive on additional day trips, you can complete a multitude of PADI scuba
diving specialty courses or you can enrol on the PADI Adventures in Diving or Advanced Diver Courses.
When can you start?
We run Open Water Courses on a daily basis so you can start as soon as you are ready. Why not encourage family members to
join in too or come along and watch at your pool session or join you aboard the boat to watch you dive!

PADI Scuba Diver Course
This course is a sub-course of the PADI Open Water Diver Course. Students will complete only the first three sections of
Knowledge Development in the PADI Open Water Diver Manual, the first three Confined Water Dives and Open Water Dives 1
and 2. This is a two day course perfect for those unable to commit time to the full four days for the Open Water Diver
Course.
